Shane Ellis is an SMSF Accredited Specialist Lawyer who heads up “SMSF Law Equityprotect”, a part of the Shane Ellis Legal Group. Many of you will know Shane from seeing him speak regularly at such events as the Morningstar National SMSF Trustee Days, and the Australian Investors Association National Conferences. Shane is noted for his captivating and dynamic speaking style, and he has a gift for ensuring that his audiences truly “get” the concepts that he speaks about. He will deliver two sessions over the two days.



Julie Dolan from SMSF Consulting is an SMSF Expert dedicated to providing specialist SMSF strategic advice, premium administrative and compliance services. The rules and regulations that govern SMSFs and all the related issues are extremely complex. However with that come multiple opportunities to tailor the right strategies based on the life values and goals of trustees & members alike. Julie has dedicated her career of over 22 years to being one of the leading SMSF Strategic advisors in this industry. Julie Dolan consults to Superfund Partners. She will deliver two sessions over the two days.




Graeme Colley is the Director of Technical and Professional Standards at the SMSF Association where he is responsible for the technical, advocacy and compliance role of SPAA. The role supports members in providing high quality advice on all aspects of self-managed superannuation funds. Graeme has over thirty years’ experience in the superannuation industry and had been involved in many of the changes that have taken place to the government’s superannuation policy during that time. Graeme has co-authored a number of books and publications on superannuation. He lectures at the University of Western Sydney in the Masters of Commerce and at the University of NSW in the SMSF Law course.



Lloyd Harris is a young & dynamic Investment Adviser with Ord Minnett. Lloyd holds a Master of Applied Finance and Bachelor of Business Majoring in Funds Management and is an Accredited Derivatives Adviser. Lloyd manages dynamic investment portfolios for individuals and families around Australia, and takes pride in his ability to explain complex investment jargon in easy to understand terms. In his spare time, Lloyd enjoys fishing (though rarely catching) and allowing his dogs Cleo and Buddy to take him to the beach on weekends. Lloyd will deliver two sessions over the two days.




Scott Fitzpatrick from Fitzpatrick’s Private Wealth has more than 25 years’ wealth management experience. He is regarded as one of the change agents who introduced genuine professional, fee for service advice in Australia. As well as a highly sought after adviser to high net worth individuals and families, Scott is in high demand with other professional advisers and firms to train them in advice and client management. Scott will deliver two sessions over the two days.



Allan Mason who is not just your garden variety of Chartered Accountant. He is a SMSF Specialist, SMSF Auditor, published author, and has been cited in many articles on tax matters. From Encore Accounting he has a career spaning many decades including an interesting period at Consolidated Press Holdings Ltd working for Kerry Packer. He assisted him with mergers and acquisitions and group tax matters. If paying more tax is your thing then don’t attend. If you ask him nicely he may even give you some insights into how the wealthy are able to pay less tax that the average person. Allan will deliver two sessions over the two days.





Elizabeth Moran is a nationally recognised expert in the fixed income asset class and is a regular contributor to The Australian. She frequently writes for and is quoted in other press. Elizabeth has been with FIIG for eight years and for much of that time has been a corporate and bank analyst. In recent years her passion for education has seen her role shift, to author/ edit FIIG’s “The Australian Guide to Fixed Income” and an online fixed income course for Financial Advisors. She continues to edit FIIG’s weekly newsletter, “The WIRE”. In her role as Director of Education, Elizabeth has delivered presentations at conferences across Australia.
